Shore excursions are an excellent way to tour an island or port city. There is a variety to choose from, and you’re sure to find more than one you’re interested in. Some tours hit all the local highlights, while others focus on one activity or on one or two places. Tour guides often take you to out-of-the-way sites, and transportation is usually comfortable and always reliable. In addition, many excursions include lunch as well as a shopping stop. If your sense of direction is less than perfect – or if you have trouble keeping an eye on your watch – shore excursions are for you. Shore excursion can be easy or hard on the feet so check to see how much walking, stairs or uneven pathways, most of the of the cruise line descriptions should say how if the tour involves this type of activities.

Pre-Booking your Shore Excursion
All of the major cruise lines now offer their passengers the chance to pre-book shore excursions via their web sites. This now gives the passenger a chance to read up and select there chooses of tours in the comfort of home. Shore excursions can and do often sell out, so we recommend you pre-book. To book you shore excursion, you will need your reservation number. Then go to the cruise line’s web site which you have booked your cruise with. From there, follow the instructions to order your tours. Each web site is a little different and you will need a valid credit card to confirm your order.
